What is the Revelian Verbal Reasoning Test?

The verbal reasoning test assesses your ability to accurately read and comprehend English. You will be required to find relationships between words, identify synonyms and antonyms, and draw logical conclusions from given statements.

The test consists of 35 questions within a time limit of 10 minutes.

Questions in this category are similar to the verbal questions in the Revelian Cognitive Ability Test (RCAT).

What questions can I expect on the Revelian Verbal Reasoning Test?

Verbal reasoning questions assess your ability to accurately read and comprehend English. You will be required to find relationships between words, identify synonyms and antonyms, and draw logical conclusions from given statements. 

These four types of verbal questions can be found in the test:

Word Analogy
You must identify the relationship between the first pair of words in order to find the missing word in the second pair.

Synonyms and Antonyms
These questions are used to determine the extent of your vocabulary. You are given two words and you must decide if they are synonyms, antonyms or neither.

Deductive Reasoning
Deductive reasoning is the process of reasoning using one or more statements to reach a logically certain conclusion.
You will be presented with a list of (usually 5) statements. You are now required to find the two statements that together will allow you to reach a certain conclusion.

Odd word out
You are given a list of words and have to find one or two words that do not belong with the rest.
